Decline of policing
CREssIDa DICK claims she was forced out of office as Commissioner of the Metropolitan police (Mail).
I served under several Commissioners in my 28 years in the Met and, at best, they were frustratingly useless. sir Ian Blair oversaw the introduction of police Community support Officers and, in concert with Tony Blair, brought about the wholesale decline of policing.
Ms Dick was appointed to satisfy a political agenda. she appeared to know precious little about policing and even less about leadership.
