Vanessa the English rose in full bloom for Venice
SHE blossomed as an actress in the challenging role of Princess Margaret in The Crown.
Now Vanessa Kirby has shown she is in full bloom as an English rose after promoting her new movie in a stunning red outfit featuring huge flowers. Miss Kirby, 34, wore the dazzling Valentino creation in Venice yesterday to promote The Son.
She posed alongside X-Men star Hugh Jackman, 53, who plays her boyfriend in director Florian Zeller’s follow-up to his 2020 hit The Father.
The Son tells the story of a 17-yearold boy who moves in with his father (Jackman) and his new partner (Miss Kirby). Australian actor Jackman, a father-of-two, told reporters the film had changed his approach to parenting. He said: ‘I share my vulnerabilities more with my 17 and 22-yearolds and I see their relief when I do.’
Londoner Miss Kirby’s latest role
follows on from Pieces Of A Woman which landed her a best actress Oscar nomination. She will also star as Josephine alongside Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon Bonaparte in a new film directed by Sir Ridley Scott.
