Turn off the TV
DREADING the coming winter with increases in food prices and energy bills, I thought I’d look at where I can make savings.
The walls have cavity insulation, windows are double glazed, the boiler is in good working order and the thermostat is set at 19c.
Looking at entertainment, we only watch The Repair Shop, Strictly and the odd drama on TV.
Soaps are a definite no-no and the BBC news is so biased that we’ve decided the TV licence is for the chop. As for other savings, a Sunday
roast of beans on toast just won’t be the same.
