■ MANOLETE Partners expects to report a loss following a High Court ruling on one of its larger cases.

The AIM-listed firm, which funds insolvency litigation cases, has applied for the decision to be reviewed at the Court of Appeal.

The firm has decided to write down the full value of the case in its forthcomin­g half-year results. With profits set to fall by £2.3m, the company has so far paid out £636,756 on the case. Shares crashed 15.3pc, or 38.5p, to 214p yesterday.
