Prince Andrew is targeted by a protester
THERE was a scuffle in the crowd yesterday as Prince Andrew was heckled during the procession.
A protester shouted ‘Andrew, you’re a sick old man’ at the Duke of York, who was forced to step back from royal duties after paying millions in an out-of-court settlement to Virginia Roberts, who had accused him of sexual abuse.
He did not admit any liability and vehemently denied her claims.
Furious mourners yanked the 22year-old heckler backwards yesterday, dragging him to the ground and shoving him out of the dense crowd lining the street before he was led away by police officers.
Police Scotland said he was arrested over ‘a breach of the peace’.
Andrew did not stop as he was walking behind the Queen’s coffin.
In another incident, a woman with signs saying ‘Abolish the Monarchy’ and ‘Not My King’ outside Parliament as the King addressed MPs was escorted away by police.
