Foolhardy bid to snatch a picture

A MAN desperate for a photo of the new monarch caused a security alert when he ran in front of the King’s state convoy yesterday.

Armed police leapt out of moving vehicles ready to tackle the man after he darted into the road.

But the pedestrian, circled, who jogged next to the King’s Rolls-Royce on the pavement before dashing on to the A40 in west London, was allowed to walk free seconds after the incident. A Met Police spokesman declined to comment, but it’s thought no arrests were made.
