Hard-working Anne

IN The line of succession, Princess Anne ranks behind her younger brother’s grandchild.

It was only the Succession to the Crown Act 2013 that replaced malepreference primogeniture, which meant a younger son could displace an older daughter.

Princess Anne never complains, gets on with her life and duties and is one of the hardest working Royals. At her mother’s side at the end, she brought tears to our eyes when she curtsied to the Queen’s coffin. I salute her.
