I WOULD like to congratulate BBC Radio 2 for its perfect broadcasting since the announcement of the death of the Queen.

Grown-up, professional presenters and music you can listen to instead of its usual raucous shrieking and tone-deaf tunes. It shows the BBC can do it when it wants to.

A lovely legacy to the Queen would be Radio 2 returning to a style that delights its core audience.

HELEN PENNEY, Longborough, Glos. DURING this week of mourning, Radio 2 presenters are showing they don’t need to be shouty, loud and boring but can be civilised. The music played is more to the taste of

the Radio 2 listener. I haven’t listened to the station as much for years.

Can it stay like this? BBC bosses please take note.

ROD CLULOW, Littleover, Derbys. What a wonderful and respectful tribute to the Queen on Radio 2 on Saturday. Seven hours in the afternoon and early evening of mellow music and tributes presented by consummate professionals Ken Bruce and Steve Wright.

It set the perfect tone to reflect the national mood.

When it came to something as important as this, the BBC relied on its experienced presenters as it knew they could cope with the pressure.

It just goes to show the BBC is wrong to getting rid of Steve Wright In the afternoon.

an unbelievable decision considering he has the highest ratings on the network. GLENN WILLIAMS,

Coventry.
