Storey strikes as Preston find the net at last
PRESTON fans had seen only one goal in four previous matches at Deepdale this season — and that was scored by Birmingham.
But they were treated to two inside the first 15 minutes, including a long-awaited first at home for their team, in a fiercely-competitive Lancashire derby last night.

flapped at Robbie Brady’s corner. As usual, Vincent Kompany’s team dominated with their slick possession-based football but found it hard to penetrate a defence that had kept seven clean sheets in the previous eight games.
Jack Cork and Vitinho had shots saved by Freddie Woodman, and Connor Roberts and Manuel Benson were just off target with a header and shot respectively. Preston spent most of the game on the back foot.
