ELIZABETH
The Queen has left but
not alone,
She took with her our love, She will be mourned
around the world
And welcomed by
those above.
Her smile will light the
astral way,
The stars will move aside, Elizabeth, our
Gracious Queen
Who gave this Nation pride. She never flinched, no
backward step,
Her duty, very plain, To serve her people
through thick and thin, Til her strength began
to wane.
Fifteen Prime Ministers
shook her hand,
But the latest was the last, That smile was there for all
to see,
Now her flags are flown
half-mast.
She was our Queen, she
served us well,
But please remember this, She was a mum and
granny, too,
Like us they’ll reminisce. The monarchy will, of
course, go on,
You set the standard high, Tonight, the heavens have
your star,
The brightest in the sky.
