Subtitle slips

THE BBC coverage of the Queen’s lying in state was spoiled by ridiculous subtitles referring to the soldiers guarding the coffin as ‘video guards’.

Aspatria, Cumbria. DURING the procession to Westminster Hall, the reporter said: ‘It will be more solemn on Monday.’ How unfortunate the subtitles had it as ‘Solomon Grundy’.
