Her horseshoe brooch tribute to Queen

-

IT WAS a small but touching tribute to ‘Gan Gan’ by Princess Charlotte.

The seven-year-old wore a diamond brooch in the shape of a horseshoe, pictured, on her black pleated coat at the funeral.

The jewellery, a reference to the Queen’s love of the equestrian world, is thought to have been a present from the late monarch.

The princess has inherited her great-grandmother’s passion for horses and has been taking riding lessons. Charlotte’s £175 coat was by Spanish brand Ancar, paired with Mary Jane shoes from another Spanish brand Manuela de Juan and a £225 hat from Jane Taylor London that was trimmed with black velvet.

Her mother, the Princess of Wales, wore a dress coat by Alexander McQueen. She paid tribute to the Queen by wearing pearl drop earrings and a choker necklace from the late monarch’s collection.
