Tonight’s RADIO 3 IN CONCERT (7.30PM) from the Barbican opens with a new work, Sun Poem by Daniel Kidane, that reflects the composer’s feelings on becoming a father. The concert ends on an equally personal note; Edward Elgar said ‘I have written out my soul’ in his Second Symphony, a work of intense emotion and passion.
