LONG LIVED THE QUEEN LONG LIVE THE KING
How do we write in just a
few words
The feeling of mourning
and tears
To a lady who served
us faithfully
Over so many years? Those famous words now
ring out,
That we heard for so long, As we would always say
of her
She never put one
foot wrong.
But not just as a monarch And our highly
regarded queen
But as mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
A lady of high esteem. A twist of fate to inherit
the throne
She took on this
mighty role,
And took it to its
highest point
And with the deepest soul. Then just in our
darkest hour
A rainbow crossed the land A message from
Prince Philip Reaching out a
supporting hand.
And although she will be
truly missed
Let our anthem sing
As we all stand together
to say:
‘Long live the King!’
