Power cut peril

-

PEOPLE are reportedly buying chainsaws to forage in the woods for domestic fuel.

I have spent my working life on drilling rigs, production platforms, oil refineries, floating storage units and power stations.

It seems I have been wasting my time, as what was really desired was the ridiculous quest for perpetual motion —renewables and wind farms.

Due to a lack of reserve capacity for power, if there is a long cold snap this winter, the lights will go out. Which way have the people been led: forward or backwards?
