TODAY’S RECIPE: One-pan pasta
LOW-CALORIE, tasty family dinner. Serves: 4.
Ingredients
1 tbsp rapeseed oil 12 meatballs
1 onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 tbsp tomato ketchup 2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes 1 large bunch of basil, chopped, plus a few whole leaves 225g dried spaghetti
Method
1 Heat oil in a deep, wide frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook meatballs for five minutes, turning until browned all over. Add onion and garlic, and fry for eight minutes until softened.
2 Add ketchup, tomatoes, basil and 400ml water and bring to boil. Add spaghetti and cook for ten minutes, stirring occasionally. When pasta is cooked and sauce has reduced, season and sprinkle with basil leaves to serve.
