TODAY’S RECIPE: One-pan pasta

LOW-CALORIE, tasty family dinner. Serves: 4.

Ingredient­s

1 tbsp rapeseed oil 12 meatballs

1 onion, finely chopped

3 garlic cloves, finely chopped

2 tbsp tomato ketchup 2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes 1 large bunch of basil, chopped, plus a few whole leaves 225g dried spaghetti

Method

1 Heat oil in a deep, wide frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook meatballs for five minutes, turning until browned all over. Add onion and garlic, and fry for eight minutes until softened.

2 Add ketchup, tomatoes, basil and 400ml water and bring to boil. Add spaghetti and cook for ten minutes, stirring occasional­ly. When pasta is cooked and sauce has reduced, season and sprinkle with basil leaves to serve.
