- By Chris Brooke and Niamh Lynch

A TRANS activist caught on camera shouting abuse at a man holding a baby and calling him a fascist has been identified as a Labour MP’s aide.

Carly-May Kavanagh is a policy caseworker in the House of Commons for Brighton MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle.

Miss Kavanagh was with another woman who even called the baby a ‘little fascist’.

The footage shows the women shouting at the unidentified man with the baby in his arms at a rally in Brighton. Miss Kavan

‘Howling abuse at lesbians’

agh has since issued an abject apology. She was apparently demonstrating against supporters of the Standing For Women organisation which held a rally in a Brighton park on Sunday.

The group ‘ Reclaim Pride Brighton’ described the Standing for Women event as part of a ‘ transphobic hate tour’ and claimed ‘fascists’ were attempting to ‘rile up hatred for trans people’.

The protesters disrupted speeches by the Standing for Women founder Kellie- Jay Keen and other speakers. Police made two arrests during clashes between the rival groups after smoke bombs were let off. Several hundred attended the event.

Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who has faced death threats from trans zealots, said of the incident: ‘I see the Be Kind brigade are once more hiding behind their black masks, throwing smoke bombs, screaming “scum” at women speaking up for their sex- based rights and howling abuse at lesbians.’

The video footage featuring Miss Kavanagh and a woman friend was posted on Twitter and has been viewed around 750,000 times. The friend refers to the baby as a ‘little fascist.’ Miss Kavanagh then joins in and tells the unidentified man: ‘F****** fascist… You think that’s a good idea, do you, to raise a child who believes this filth… you are disgusting.’ At one point she comes within inches of the baby, which remains calm.

Miss Kavanagh later tweeted: ‘I let down the trans community. I am embarrassed by my actions.’
