Boy, 15, fights for life after he is stabbed near school
A BOY of 15 is fighting for his life after being stabbed near a school yesterday afternoon.
The vicious assault is believed to have taken place outside North Huddersfield Trust School on the outskirts of the town just before 3pm.
Local reports claim the teenager was ambushed and stabbed by a hooded assailant.
Parents said their children would be left ‘traumatised’ after seeing the boy ‘pinned down and stabbed repeatedly’. Adam Wartski, 32, was picking up his two young children when he came across the scene.
‘It’s disgusting,’ he told the Huddersfield Examiner. ‘It feels like they – victims and perpetrators – are getting younger and younger. I don’t understand it.
‘At school we would fight but it would be no worse than a punch-up and then we’d be friends. It’s just awful.’
A spokesman from West Yorkshire Police said officers had received a ‘report that a teenager had been seriously injured in Woodhouse Hill, Huddersfield. Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital in a critical condition’.
