Kate: Secret of a long marriage is not having kids ‘We’ve had space to grow’
THE pressures of fame have ended many a celebrity marriage.
But, Kate Humble claims to have discovered the secret to staying together – not having children.
The Springwatch presenter, 53, who is married to TV producer Ludo Graham, 61, pictured, said not becoming parents has given them ‘a liberation that parents don’t have’.
She told Woman’s Weekly magazine: ‘You grow and change a lot over 30 years, and in a lot of ways we’ve had the space to allow each other to do that.’
Miss Humble said it was ‘never a decision... just a fact’ that she would never have children and she made that clear before she married in 1992.
Earlier this year she said she was tired of justifying why she chose not to have children. She told Good Housekeeping: ‘I’m staggered women are still asked to justify the choice.’
