Junk food future

JACOB REES-MOGG’s imperial measurements consultation with no option to say no, taken together with Liz Truss’s plan to axe the sugar tax and to have a bonfire of regulations, is likely to pave the way for the U.s. processed food industry.

The sale of its products, aimed at the less well-off, has been associated with high levels of cardiovascular diseases and obesity in the U.s., Mexico and among the Chagos islanders.

This Government’s top priority is obviously to open up the UK to a future U. s. trade deal. Not for nothing is the UK known to big business as ‘Treasure Island’, the gift that goes on giving.
