By George... Bridgerton’s Phoebe is stunning in satin
AS a blushing debutante in Netflix’s Bridgerton, she was no stranger to fancy frocks and lavish balls.
So it’s no wonder Phoebe Dynevor looked the part in champagne silk satin as she attended a starry awards ceremony in New York.
The actress, 27, stunned in the striking Louis Vuitton gown, with its plunging V-neck and dramatic open back.
Miss Dynevor, the daughter of Coronation Street star Sally, rubbed shoulders with George and Amal Clooney, whose charity has founded the new Albie Awards.
Also in attendance were Bruce Springsteen, model Cindy Crawford
and pop singer Dua Lipa. At the first
‘Chandelier gown and champagne silk’
ever event, Oscar-winner Clooney, 61, looked dapper in a tuxedo with a black bowtie while his human rights lawyer wife Amal, 44, sparkled in a chandelier fringe Versace gown. It marks an exciting week for the couple, who celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary on Tuesday.
The awards ceremony was named after Justice Albie Sachs, 87, a South African lawyer and judge who was imprisoned in 196 for his fight to end apartheid. Held at The New York Public Library, it honoured ‘journalists, human rights leaders and other global justice defenders who “are at great risk for what they do”.’
