Take two! SJP in Sex and City wedding dress that had her in tears

- By Eve Buckland

SHE showed off the designer gown for her alter ego’s ill-fated wedding filmed back in 2007.

Now Sarah Jessica Parker has slipped back into the memorable Vivienne Westwood dress Carrie Bradshaw wore when she was jilted by the dastardly Mr Big.

The actress, 57, recycled the strapless satin ballgown – complete with the original bizarre bird headpiece – as she was seen stepping out of Carrie’s New York apartment while filming the second series of Sex and the City

‘Ensemble proved to be a handful’

sequel And Just Like That. Miss Parker accessorised with striking teal gloves and a matching cape – and styled her hair in a bouffant updo.

And in another tweak to the first bridal look, she swapped her previous veil for a tulle hairnet as she walked down the street.

The ensemble proved to be a handful, with pictures showing Miss Parker crouched on the pavement as crew members assisted her with the dress. But you’ll have to wait to find out why on earth Carrie is once again wearing the gown in the new series.

Big, who was played by Chris Noth, memorably jilted Carrie at the altar in the first Sex and the

City film screened in 2008 – which resulted in the tearful would-be bride bashing him with her bouquet.

But the pair would eventually go on to tie the knot at City Hall, with Carrie wearing a simple white suit and Manolo Blahnik’s royal blue silk Hangisi stilettos.

Mr Big was killed off in the first episode of the new series when he suffered a heart attack in the shower after a session on his Peloton.

While there is no official release date yet for the second season of And Just Like That, show executives have previously said that ‘the aim is for the new season to begin streaming in the summer of 202 ’.
