FA APPEALS AGAINST KLOPP’S PUNISHMENT
THE Football Association have taken the rare step of appealing a decision in an attempt for Jurgen Klopp to receive a stronger punishment for his red card against Manchester City. Klopp was sent off in the 86th minute for confronting assistant referee Gary Beswick and was handed a £30,000 fine by an independent regulatory commission.
The FA do not believe the fine is sufficient for the incident and, if their appeal is successful, Klopp could face a touchline ban.
