ENGLAND football fans hoping to buy tickets for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar are being warned about buying them from unauthorised websites, classified ads and via social media.

Recent data from Lloyds Bank shows there was a surge in football ticket fraud in the second half of last season, with fans losing an average £410 each.

It says you should buy with a credit or debit card for added protection and never by bank transfer.
