WHILE the latest MasterChef contest is just getting started with its second week of heats (9pm, BBC1), the woodworking competition hosted by Mel Giedroyc (pictured) concludes tonight, and it’s chisels at dawn for the three remaining woodcrafters. Their last big challenge is to build a bar, the kind that serves drinks — with a name sign to match for the technical challenge. So, who will have something to celebrate, and who will be drowning their sorrows? It’s been quite a calm and well-mannered competition to date, but as the finish line approaches, the tension ratchets up and the test becomes one of nerve as much as craftsmanship.
