Swear watch

HANNAH BETTS’S love of swearing (Letters) is the same as a toddler’s fondness for shouting ‘ belly button’ or similar favourites.

But while she has never understood that this is neither clever nor funny, most toddlers quite quickly do.

It will probably need emptying ******* regularly.

MPs should converse like grown-ups and not resort to ******* profanities.
