Tony names his pig after Strictly star
TONY ADAMS’S blunders during his routine with Katya Jones appeared to lead to an argument between them in the closing minutes of Strictly Come Dancing last Saturday — and the former England captain is keen to make amends.
It is, however, questionable how pleased the dance pro will be with his olive branch.
For Adams, 56, has three new piglets at his farm in the Cotswolds and has named one of them after Katya, 33, whom he described as ‘a little over-critical’ yesterday.
The two others have been given Strictly-related monikers, too.
Adams, who slumped in the salsa after a devilish quickstep for Halloween the week before (left), explains: ‘Our three new arrivals cuddled up — Anton Du Pig, Katya and the runt, Claudia Winklepig.’
His comments come as Strictly fans call on the BBC to axe Adams to prevent more talented contestants being kicked off. His continued success is believed to be due to an orchestrated campaign by an Arsenal fans’ forum instructing members to use their three votes each week to keep him in.
