Probe into Radley ‘fight’
THE Rugby Football League have launched an inquiry into an alleged punch-up between England star Victor Radley and Ireland’s James Bentley. Radley and Bentley are claimed to have clashed in a bar at England’s Worsley Park team hotel on Sunday, 24 hours after the hosts’ humiliating World Cup semi-final defeat by Samoa. A number of players checked out on Sunday, but Sydney Roosters lock Radley and England’s other Australian-based players stayed for another night. Leeds star Bentley, whose Ireland team were knocked out in the group stage, was understood to be visiting friends in the England squad.
An RFL spokesperson said: ‘The RFL have been made aware of allegations and are currently investigating the matter.’
