Moyes gets more time

- KIERAN GILL

WEST HAM will give David Moyes time to turn their season around, having decided against using the World Cup break to make a change of manager. Club insiders insist Moyes has ‘plenty of credit in the bank’ and want to give him a chance to correct their Premier League form. West Ham are 16th in the table after winning only four of their 15 matches. However, their European form has been a different story, with the side winning all eight of their Europa Conference League games. While Moyes has the support of sporting director Mark Noble and captain Declan Rice, the fans see Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino as the two most popular candidates to replace the Scot. Yet memories remain from 2018 when he was replaced by Manuel Pellegrini, which became an expensive mistake.
