TV Helen’s salute to grannies

HELEN Skelton insists her stint on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing would have been impossible without her parents’ help.

The Countryfile presenter, 39, whose exhusband, rugby star Richie Myler, walked out on her in April, says they are always on hand to look after her three children.

‘I’m pretty sure that grandparents keep this economy running,’ she told Closer magazine. Miss Skelton said juggling dancing with caring for Ernie, seven, Louis, five, and Elsie, 11 months, is ‘all-consuming’, adding: ‘But my parents are amazing. It’s the easiest parenting time of my life.’
