At 58, Fiona’s f lair for f lares
AS presenter of Antiques Roadshow, she is used to delving much further back into the past than the 1970s.
But that is where Fiona Bruce appeared to have received her fashion inspiration as she attended the TV Choice Awards on Monday night.
The 58-year-old, who also hosts Question Time for the BBC, looked glamorous on the red carpet in a black lace jumpsuit with extra-wide flares.
But Miss Bruce admitted the outfit, which would not have looked out of place on a Seventies glam rocker or other stars of the decade such as Abba, presented her with certain difficulties.
On stage announcing Emmerdale as Best Soap, she said: ‘Thank you to the ladies on the table in the middle for zipping me in and out of this jumpsuit when I went to the loo earlier.’
Miss Bruce went home from the awards empty-handed as Antiques Roadshow missed out on being named Best Lifestyle Show.
