SHOPPERS are being warned over Black Friday and Cyber Monday fraud.

Last year, there was a 34 pc surge in scams during the shopping bonanza, with people typically losing £1,072.

This year, nine in ten of us are relying on the deals on offer on Black Friday, which takes place on November 25, to do our Christmas shopping.

Barclays bank advises: ‘Ignore any pressure put on you — and if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.’
