TODAY’S RECIPE: Cauli-kale sausage bake

HEARTY family fare. Serves: 4- 6.

Ingredient­s

680g cauliflowe­r florets

180g kale

1 tbsp olive oil 400g sausages, meat squeezed out 700g cheese sauce

Method

1 Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook the cauliflowe­r for six minutes, adding the sliced kale for the final minute. Drain well.

2 Meanwhile, heat oil in a non-stick frying pan and add sausage meat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Brown all over.

3 Heat oven to 200c/180c fan/gas 6 and put cauliflowe­r and kale in a large baking dish. Pour over cheese sauce, season and mix to coat well. Scatter over sausagemea­t and Cheddar. Bake for 30 minutes until top is golden and bubbling.
