‘ We both have a chihuahua – it was like meeting my twin ’

-

DATING PAST?

I’ve been married twice, but I’ve been single for two years. My second husband was 15 years younger than me, and my last long relationship was with a man 25 years my junior, so I seem to have a type.

I’m impulsive and fearless. When I’m in a relationship, I give 100 per cent.

PRE-DATE NERVES?

NOT at all — I was excited. I wore a green dress and high boots so I felt confident. I had told a few friends about it, but not my kids or family in case they worried about me.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS?

I THOUGHT Brian was attractive with a warm smile. he was dressed smartly and, although I’d been held up, he showed no irritation — we had an instant strong connection. he’s perfect on paper — young at heart and looks young for his age, just like me.

EASY TO TALK TO?

I DON’T think there was a single second when we had nothing to say. It was like meeting my twin, from the way we think to the way our lives have turned out.

We both have a chihuahua, have 12-year-old children, and our picky kids even like the same food.

We’re both interested in the laws of attraction, too (the theory that positive thoughts can bring positive things into a person’s life).

It was so easy and fun, there was hardly time to eat. I didn’t get home until midnight.

EMBARRASSING MOMENTS?

NOT really.

DID SPARKS FLY?

IN TERMS of how well we got on, yes — but I don’t think it was a romantic connection. I wasn’t disappointed, as we had a fantastic time. We were still chatting on the tube, but I had to run for my train so we ended the night with a hug and didn’t even swap numbers.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET AGAIN?

DEFINITELY, but not in a romantic way. I almost wish I had felt that connection as he was perfect in so many ways — but if it’s not there, you can’t force it. he will make the ideal partner for a very lucky lady.

WHAT DO YOU THINK HE THOUGHT OF YOU?

I COULD tell that he liked my company.

WOULD YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS LIKE HIM?

I THINK they would, because he is very easy-going. I certainly didn’t see any red flags.
