Baggy trousers

EVErYoNE says rishi Sunak’s trousers are too short — but, in fact, previous prime ministers’ trousers are too long.

Just take a look at Sunday’s line-up

at the Cenotaph of Boris Johnson, david Cameron, gordon Brown, Sir Tony Blair and Sir John Major. Theirs are so long, they concertina down onto their shoes.

To hang properly, Sir John Major’s trousers could do with a foot lopped off them. Congratulations to rishi Sunak’s tailor.
