It’s a no again to charity away kits
SCROOGe Premier League bosses are again preventing clubs from wearing away kits for home games over Christmas to raise awareness and funds for homelessness charity Shelter. Despite a surging homelessness crisis, fuelled by the rise in the cost of living, top-flight officials say clubs cannot wear change strips to support Shelter. Last year, the charity asked for clubs to play in their away kits to raise awareness of those who have no homes of their own. Clubs were left stunned when the Premier League said no, claiming that it would be a breach of regulations. Shelter will continue the #nohomeKit campaign this Christmas, and can now add the backing of the four Scottish leagues in addition to the eFL and national League.
