Cahill calls time on his career
FORMER Chelsea and England defender Gary Cahill has announced his retirement from football.
The 36-year-old had been without a club since leaving Bournemouth in the summer. Cahill made his professional debut in 2004 and won 61 England caps. ‘I can honestly say I gave it everything I had,’ he wrote on social media. ‘I’ve achieved things I once dreamt of. From amazing highs like winning the Champions League and Premier League, to the privilege of captaining my country and Chelsea in an FA Cup winning team will remain with me for ever.’
