-

ALMOST nine out of ten Whitehall mandarins want to carry on working from home most of the time, it has emerged.

A survey by the trade union for senior civil servants found

7 per cent would like spend at least three days a week away from the office.

In addition, 74 per cent of FDA members said they still do most of their work from home, despite attempts by ministers to get them back to their desks.

Some 92 per cent of respondents said the hybrid working culture that took hold during lockdown had been good for them.

Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg said: ‘There is a general recognition that public services are being delivered less than satisfactorily, and the Government needs to get a grip on this.’
