PROBE INTO TONEY’S POSH STAY

THE FA’S case against Ivan Toney for breaching betting regulations is based on evidence that the majority of the 232 bets in question were placed from the same address. Sportsmail has learned that although multiple accounts were used to place the bets, the FA’s investigators have traced most of them to the same location.

Toney was at Peterborough for most of the four-year period the charges relate to, although some of the bets were placed during his first six months at Brentford. The 26-year-old has until next Thursday to respond to the FA’s charges and is facing a lengthy ban if found guilty.
