LAUNCHING at the end of 2020, Atana is a luxury brand of hand-crafted shoes founded by sisters Aneliya and Tanya Kyurkchieva. Creative director Aneliya was formerly embroidery designer at Alexander McQueen, and it’s the use of traditional artisanal embroidery on every pair of Atana shoes that makes the brand so distinctive. Each embroidery, say the sisters, is
‘symbolic and has a story told by its technique, composition, and colour’.
The soles are embedded with a German-technology memory gel developed for dancers’ shoes, which makes them ultra-comfortable and long-lasting. Prices start from £280.
