TIM ALLEN’S trio of Santa Clause films are hugely underrated chunks of festive fun, and this six-part sequel keeps the seasonal spirit flowing nicely. As we catch up with Scott Calvin/Santa, he’s approaching his 65th birthday and decides it’s time to enjoy some peace and quiet in the real world with his family (played by Austin Kane, Elizabeth Mitchell and Elizabeth Allen-Dick, pictured with Allen) — surely he’s earned it? First, though, he’ll need a suitable replacement to step into Santa’s boots — and finding someone who’ll meet the approval of the elves turns out to be easier said than done. He thinks eldest son Charlie (Eric Lloyd) could be the one to take the reins of the sleigh, but Charlie is less than keen on swapping Florida for the freezing
