Jack keeps goal dance promise for disabled fan

- By Kamal Sultan

JACK Grealish kept his promise to a young disabled fan with a heartwarming celebration as he scored in England’s 6-2 victory over Iran yesterday.

The Manchester City player came off the bench to score his first goal in a World Cup and dedicated it to 11-year-old Finlay, who has cerebral palsy, with a dance.

The footballer met the schoolboy shortly before travelling to Qatar after the youngster wrote Grealish a letter praising him for being a good big brother to his sister Holly, who also has cerebral palsy.

‘I wish there were more people in the world just like you who treat people with disabilities the same as anyone else,’ Finlay wrote.

‘It makes me really happy when I see that you, a famous footballer, knows what it’s like to live with people with cerebral palsy. You’re my hero and the best big brother to your sister.’ Grealish replied with a letter and sent him a signed Manchester City shirt before meeting the youngster and telling him he could choose his next goal celebration.

Finlay initially asked him to do the worm, but after the star said he was unable to do the dance move, the pair settled on wiggling his arms in the air.

Grealish was true to his word and performed the move to the camera after scoring England’s final goal against Iran.
