THE third leg of their journey finds TV’s odd couple on the California coast, the place they both now call home. They visit a Santa Barbara ‘drugs den’, where Alan challenges Miriam about her anti-drugs stance. Then, they enjoy drag bingo and join a gay knitting group in Palm Springs, before heading Los Angeles, where Miriam takes Alan to meet a young relative whom she has never met in person.
