BLACK FRIDAY

-

Black Friday is a unique day

For a special reason,

Supposed to be the start of the

Festive shopping season.

A lot of shops will publicise

They’re offering discounts on

Some of their pricey articles

Until all these have gone.

This spurs some folk to queue all night

Outside their favourite store,

Determined to get what they want

And possibly buy more.

Right on the dot a man appears

To open up the place,

The crowd then starts to push and shove

Which turns into a race.

All hell breaks loose once they’re inside,

The staff look on aghast,

Until the discount things are grabbed

And peace returns at last.

One wonders is it worth the stress,

To save a pound or two,

But if you plan to go ahead

The best of luck to you.
