THIS two-part documentary reveals how ice cream vans became the unlikely targets for a ruthless criminal enterprise in Glasgow in the 1980s. A lesson in how not to build social housing, new estates were planned with few shops and other facilities, so ice cream vans started to sell a range of goods, and gangs homed in on their lucrative routes, sparking a violent and deadly turf war.
