Right targets
The idea that the wealthy should pay for NhS treatment has been put forward.
They already do — it’s called National Insurance.
The group using NhS services the most is the group that doesn’t, or rarely, pays NI — those who abuse substances, eat junk food and don’t take exercise.
If we need to target groups, we should focus on getting people back to work.
