Why do Fleur east and the BBC have to comment about the possibility of the first ‘non‑white final’ on Strictly?

The contest is about dancing, personal improvement and entertainment, not colour.

The sooner we stop drawing attention to this, the sooner we become truly colour‑blind. I hadn’t even noticed the ethnic mix of the remaining couples because I’m watching the dancing.
