SON TO RETURN IN MASK FOR KOREA

-

SON HEUNG-MIN is fit for South Korea’s opener against Uruguay today and will play wearing a mask after facial surgery. The Tottenham forward suffered fractures around his left eye in a Champions League match against Marseille.

‘The fact he will be wearing a mask is not inconvenient for him, it is natural for him,’ said South Korea coach Paulo Bento. ‘He knows, and we know, that after this injury we cannot take any risks.’

SAUDI ARABIA defender Yasser Al-Shahrani’s World Cup is probably over after surgery for a facial injury following the shock 2-1 win over Argentina. Denmark’s Thomas Delaney is also out of the tournament after a knee injury against Tunisia. And France left back Lucas Hernandez will miss the rest of the season after tearing his achilles tendon.
