The triple celestial shift that will lead us ALL on the road to recovery in ... 2023

YOUR STARS FOR THE NEW YEAR WITH...

- OSCAR CAINER

AS THe ancient insult goes: ‘May you live in interesting times.’ While 2022 might have been a turning point for Covid, it’s fair to say over the past year we’ve still been in turbulent seas. So it’s good news for everyone that in early 2023 a powerful celestial procession heralds a chance to set all our lives on a better, brighter path.

This is because Saturn (planet of discipline), Pluto (transformation), and Mars (planet of power) all move into new signs.

It’s a rare triple-energy shift, and these events call us to embrace the new, right the ship and lead us on to The Road To Recovery.

Appropriately, what I like to call the March of Destiny starts early in the month of that name, when Saturn finishes a three-year stay in Aquarius, and moves into Pisces. Near the end of March, Pluto makes a once-in-a-generation move, passing from Capricorn into Aquarius (which represents freedom and innovation).

This sequence is particularly powerful as it is quickly followed by Mars ending its long sojourn in Gemini, when it enters Cancer. That brings a breath of fresh air that enables us to reassess priorities, and make innovative changes. And when lucky Jupiter moves into Taurus in mid-May, we’ll find new ways to expand our financial resources.

On the surface, some of these changes might not seem like good news.

The last time Pluto changed signs (in 2008), the world experienced seismic economic shocks. And Saturn’s last move coincided with pandemic lockdowns and unprecedented restrictions.

However, this time, as they stride into new signs accompanied by dynamic Mars, we can expect more positive changes. It will be a journey into the unknown, but the year ahead is going to be exciting, energising and, if we’re prepared to embrace change, full of solutions that affect the whole of humanity.

Are you ready? Let’s go!

ARIES (March 21 — April 20)

AS THe new year starts, with Jupiter in your sign and Mars retrograde, it’s as though you have one foot on the accelerator and the other on the brake.

But, as Mars joins the March of Destiny in late March, that awkward sensation fades into your rear-view mirror. It’s time to believe in yourself, especially as Saturn also changes signs in March, meaning you’ll no longer feel obliged to give way to others.

If power imbalances are addressed, and you allow for some self-care, a balance can be established, infusing you with energy to set goals . . . and achieve them.

TAURUS (April 21 — May 21)

IT HAS been 12 years since Jupiter, planet of opportunity, wealth and adventure, last entered your sign.

It arrives in mid- May with perfect timing, delivering the luck, spirit and wisdom to recognise changes needed plus the support network to exploit new freedoms. Your year’s goals will already be clear, thanks to Mars ending its retrograde phase in mid- January. Pluto’s change of signs in March, meanwhile, transforms how others perceive you. Your job (not too difficult!) will be to find ways to celebrate your success.

GEMINI (May 22 — June 22)

IN MID- January, when Mars moves ‘ di r e c t’ again, frustrations will subside and renewed energy will spur you on.

When the March of Destiny begins in spring, you’ll sense your unleashed potential. Saturn, and then Pluto, change signs, helping you rediscover a sense of purpose. And when Mars finally leaves your sign in late March, you’ll be freer to pursue your dreams.

With Saturn ( the planet of ambition) moving into a water sign, your emotional prowess will strengthen. You’ll find the focus to diversify your objectives and establish achievable goals.

CANCER (June 23 — July 23)

THe March of Destiny increases your intuitive powers so you can see to the heart of issues and people. It enables you to find new likeminded folk who will share your interests and form connections.

With the January Full Moon in your sign, and Mars turning direct soon after, new goals will become clear, and your self-confidence will get a reboot. Any action you take will make a positive difference to you and to the people you care about, in a way that shares prosperity and positivity.

LEO (July 24 — August 23)

WITH Saturn (the planet of discipline and authority) having been opposite your sign for three years, you’ll sense relief when it moves on in March.

The March of Destiny then lets you build on all you’ve learned to exploit a financial opportunity to realise a plan.

Don’t expect it all on a plate, though, as you’ll need to work at convincing others to back you.

As Jupiter (the planet of luck) changes signs in May, your reputation will attract more help. Your Leo courage is key. If you believe in yourself and your abilities, and hold on to your vision of a better world, you can create it.

VIRGO (August 24 — September 23)

JANuARY starts with Mars and Mercury (your ruler) both retrograde; a time to revise aims and ideas for a greater chance of success. However, they both turn direct later in the month (Mars on the 12th, Mercury on the 18th) when you’ll be ready to take positive steps in finance, career or leisure activities.

The springtime March of Destiny brings the tools you need and the support to help you on the way, confirming that you have ultimate control over your own life.

As Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, changes signs in May, you can take action to ensure you flourish.

LIBRA (September 24 — October 23)

THe March of Destiny brings the clarity of purpose, plus the tools you need to get you to where you want to go.

As Saturn changes signs in early March, restrictions that have thwarted your progress will ease, revealing exciting possibilities about the road ahead.

As Pluto takes residence in Aquarius later in the month, refreshed insight will show you what to do to achieve success in career and finances.

By looking deeply at situations you’re involved in, and knowing you’re no longer under pressure to conform to others’ expectations, you’ll see what you need to become the person you want to be.

SCORPIO (October 24 — November 22)

AS THe only sign ruled by Pluto, The March of Destiny will affect you perhaps more than any other. Your ruler’s move into freedomloving Aquarius in spring encourages you to let your instincts guide you, and to resist others who try to overrule you.

As Mars (the planet of energy, action and courage) turns direct in January ( the 12th), your mojo returns, bringing excitement and clarity. Once your feelings and ambitions are aligned, you can embrace a journey that takes you closer to an ideal to satisfy you on a practical and emotional level.

SAGITTARIUS (November 23 — December 21)

THe year begins with Mars changing

direction opposite your sign and easing tension that’s developed between you and someone significant. Whether it’s a working or romantic relationship, you’ll find it easier to express yourself. And as your ruler, Jupiter, aligns with Saturn in the March of Destiny, it signals a shift, making it easier to work alongside others.

When Jupiter moves into earthy Taurus in May, a hidden, more patient side of your personality will emerge. This will enable you to reflect and discover what you really need to do to feel fulfilled.

CAPRICORN (December 22 — January 20)

AS MArS changes direction in midJanuary, a source of frustration will give way to an understanding of what you need to do to maximise success in your career and happiness in your personal life.

It’s a big moment for insight into the kind of person you would like to become.

The March of Destiny will help you communicate these goals and start turning them into reality. As part of this process, after 15 long years, Pluto will finally leave your sign in late March.

A weight will be lifted. You will change the fixed ideas others hold about you; and your passion for change will soon bring others on board with you.

AQUARIUS (January 21 — February 19)

JuST under two weeks from now, Mars changes direction and your creative juices will start flowing once more.

Lost confidence will return and your year ahead will start to look like a route packed with opportunities.

For the past three years, your traditional ruling planet, Saturn, has been attempting to bring greater discipline into your life. But, as the March of Destiny begins and the planet of restriction leaves your sign, you will be bursting to face challenges in innovative ways.

If that sounds troubling, don’t panic! You’ll be encouraged to create new foundations on your personal road to recovery. Any lost ground will swiftly be made up.

PISCES (February 20 — March 20)

AS JAnuArY begins, Jupiter and Ve n u s combine to strengthen your beliefs about what matters most.

And when Mars turns direct in the second week of the year, you’ll feel ready to pursue what makes you happy and secure.

But it’s the March of Destiny and the move of Saturn, the cosmic teacher, into your sign in early March, followed by the move of Pluto and Mars into new homes, that brings the tools you need to make the most of what life has to offer.

You will also gain stability and the determination to benefit from ideas you never dreamed would be taken seriously. You can turn inspiration into reality.
