Another roasting for Brooklyn over his ‘raw’ beef

- By Imogen Horton

SO far his culinary efforts have divided fans. And Brooklyn Beckham’s latest video has led to more claims that the budding chef doesn’t cut the mustard.

The 23-year-old demonstrated his version of a Sunday roast, leading to claims he used a ‘reckless amount’ of butter and produced a joint that was still ‘raw’.

Aided by professional chef Kevin Lee, Beckham took a huge dry-aged rib of beef and coated it in 1lb of butter seasoned with herbs. He cooked it rare – the meat was so pink that one Instagram user joked: ‘A good vet could bring that back to life.’

Others criticised the amount of butter used as ‘reckless’ and described the finished dinner as a ‘heart attack on a plate’.

His mother Victoria rushed to her son’s defence, insisting the meat was ‘rare not raw’ and that she would be ‘attempting this for your dad and brothers and sister’. Beckham’s Facebook Watch series is reported to cost £74,000 an episode to make.
